VPN FAQ and Help Center

All four categories, accounts and subscriptions, connections and troubleshooting, speeds and servers, billing and refunds, live on this page. Each answer gives the conclusion first, then one or two steps you can follow. The figures match the pricing page: 100+ countries / 170+ routes, unlimited devices online at the same time, a 14-day money-back guarantee, and no email address required to register.

The three most-asked questions: no email address is needed to register, just a username and password; one account can be online on unlimited devices at the same time; and there is a 14-day money-back guarantee you can claim by submitting your order number in a panel ticket.

Account and Subscription

Registration, login, subscription import and device management. Anything involving account credentials happens in the user panel, and this group starts by explaining what your account can do.

Do I need an email address to register?

No. All you need is a username and password. Once submitted, you can log in to the user panel and handle subscriptions, renewals and support tickets there. Since there is no email on file, keep your username and password somewhere safe. The login page has a recovery option; just follow the on-screen steps.

How many devices can I use at the same time with one account?

As many as you like. One account can be online at the same time on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux, and you do not need to buy a second plan for another device. The more devices you run at once, the faster your data allowance is used, so pick a tier that matches your actual usage.

Where do I find my subscription link?

Log in to the user panel, download the VPNOh app for your platform from the Download Client section, then get your subscription inside the panel and import it into the app. The subscription URL is tied to your account and works like account credentials, so do not forward it to anyone or paste it anywhere public.

I have a new device. Do I need to buy another plan?

No. Plans follow the account, not the device. Install the app on the new device, log in and import your subscription, and you are set. There is no need to unbind the old device, and both can be online at the same time.

Where can I check my data usage and expiry date?

Once you log in to the panel, the Overview section shows your current plan's data usage and expiry date. Monthly plan data resets every month on your activation date, not on the 1st of the calendar month. Data packs are not part of the monthly reset and last until used up.

Connection and Troubleshooting

Cannot connect, connected but pages will not load, mobile drops in the background, frequent disconnects: each symptom comes with an order of checks and actions you can take right away.

The app says connected but pages will not load. What should I check first?

First narrow down the scope. If no site loads at all: disconnect and reconnect once, then try a different server, and make sure your device's system time is accurate, since a large clock offset can break the connection. If only certain sites fail: it is usually the site's own access policy or a local cache issue, so try another server.

Why does a certain app not go through the proxy?

The usual reason is that the app uses its own network stack or built-in DNS resolution and does not follow the app's proxy settings. Try switching the proxy mode to Global and test again. If the app is sensitive to its outbound IP, keep it on the same server long term rather than switching frequently.

The connection drops shortly after I switch to another app on mobile. What should I do?

On mobile, most drops happen because the system's battery saver reclaims background network access. On Android, add the app to the battery optimization whitelist and set it to Unrestricted. On iOS, allow Background App Refresh and avoid leaving the connection running for long periods in Low Power Mode. Try these two steps and watch for a day; most background drops disappear.

Frequent disconnects: how do I tell if the problem is on my side or the server's?

Start by comparing networks: move the same device to a different network. If it only drops on the original network, the problem is your local link or router. If it drops everywhere, switch servers and refresh your subscription. If the same server reproduces the issue for several days, note the server name and the times it happened and open a ticket in the panel.

It will not connect at all. What order should I troubleshoot in?

Follow four steps: 1) Check that your plan has not expired, which the panel's Overview section shows. 2) Check that the subscription is imported and the server list appears in the app. 3) Check that the app has system network permission. 4) Switch to another server and reconnect. If it still fails after all four, refresh your subscription and try again, then open a ticket with the app name, OS version and a screenshot of the error.

The app reports that the subscription update failed. What now?

First confirm your network works, meaning other sites load normally, then tap Update Subscription manually in the app. If it still fails, go back to the panel and check whether the subscription URL has changed, then delete the old subscription and import it again. A failed update usually does not affect servers you have already imported, so you can keep using them and retry later.

Speed and Servers

Peak-hour slowdowns, how to choose a server, throttling and what happens when data runs out, plus what to check first when 4K video stutters.

Slow at peak hours: how can I fix it?

During peak hours both your local broadband uplink and international routes are more congested, so repeated reconnects do not help much. Switch to a dedicated-line server, or one marked Streaming Optimized. Most regions have several servers, so spend a few minutes on each, compare, and stick with the steadiest one. If a server stays slow at peak times for several days, move to another server in the same region.

100+ countries and 170+ routes: how do I pick one?

Choose by where the service you want lives, not just by distance. For streaming and AI tools, prefer available regions such as the United States, Japan and Singapore. If you are only browsing and checking email, pick a geographically closer region, where the round trip is shorter and the connection steadier. You can switch servers in the app at any time, with no reinstall or re-import needed.

Will my speed be throttled?

Monthly tiers differ in data allowance; the available servers are the same across all of them. Real-world speed depends mainly on the server type you pick, your local broadband and how congested the international uplink is. The same server can perform very differently at peak hours versus late at night, so judge by the hours you actually use.

4K video stutters. What should I check first?

Three things: whether the server is marked Streaming Optimized, whether the app has actually switched to it, and whether other heavy downloads are running on your device. If all three check out and it still stutters, try another streaming server in the same region and compare again outside peak hours to tell whether the problem is the server or the time of day.

What happens when my monthly plan's data runs out?

When the month's data runs out, servers pause. You can upgrade to a higher monthly tier, with the price difference prorated by the remaining days, or buy a data pack, which lasts until used up and never expires. The panel's Overview section shows your remaining data, so handling it a day or two early is easier.

How much do speeds vary between regions?

There is no single answer; it depends on the actual path from your network to that region. Servers within the same region often differ more than regions do, so judge by how they perform during the hours you use them rather than by the region name alone. You can switch in the app at any time, with no reinstall.

Billing and Refunds

Payment methods, refund requests, choosing between monthly plans and data packs, and how mid-cycle upgrade pricing is prorated.

What payment methods do you accept?

Three: Alipay, WeChat Pay and USDT. Choose the one you want at checkout in the panel and follow the on-screen steps to pay; once done, the order status updates in the panel's Orders section.

How do I request a refund?

VPNOh offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund, submit a ticket from the panel's ticket section with your order number and it will be handled under the refund policy; no reason is needed within the refund window. See the refund policy page for the full terms.

Monthly plan or data pack: which is the better deal?

It depends on how steady your usage is. For consistent long-term use, pick a monthly plan: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, ¥28/month for 500GB, with data resetting each month on your activation date. If your usage spikes and dips, or you only need it for a stretch of time, pick a data pack: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, ¥658/3000GB, which lasts until used up and never expires.

How is the price difference calculated for a mid-cycle upgrade?

Monthly plans can be upgraded mid-cycle. The price difference is prorated by the remaining days, and after upgrading you get the new tier's data allowance, still resetting each month on your activation date.

Do data packs expire?

No. Data packs last until used up and never expire, and they are not affected by monthly plan resets. You decide when to use them and over how long.

Can I still use the service after my monthly plan expires?

Servers stop working once the plan expires and resume when you renew. The panel's Overview section shows the expiry date. Data packs last until used up and never expire, and are unaffected by monthly plan resets.
